Backpack, weapon, shield and final thoughts.
Shield – I forgot to fit it at the beginning. I had to trim a few things and use rotary tools to move holes to fit parts properly. Very happy how it looks, that spikes in metal color gives a nice contrast to green.
Weapons – very straight forward, lot of masking. I mixed blueberry color and I applied it on black primer. Easy but time consuming just to finish it. Axe pink effect achieved by spraying white surfacer in places where there are beam lines. After that a few layers of very thin fluorescent pink and matt varnish to lower shine.
Backpack – That white container gave me cancer. I wanted to use half of the container that was provided in the resin kit. Worthless, does not fit at all. I had to sand the pins to make the top leveled so I can attach parts. Needed to glue them as that was the fastest way. If I knew it before I would use parts that came with Bandai kit.
As my first resin kit it was a challenge, for sure there are easier and more forgiving resin kits like YJL. The whole time spent on this build was a good learning curve for me. Next builds are going to be easier. After resin kit normal kits look boring, already thinking about new builds.
