Shield, details and weathering

My take of shoulder shield design finalized as some kind of campaign specific. It is hand painted with Citadel/Vallejo Game acrylics with some decals added from GreenStuffWorld set – I really like how it ended up – then some more weathering and its done.Additional decals and weathering was applied on a figure, looks wear and…

Imperialis

AK Xtreme metal gold/bronze/and steel metallic paints were used to paint Imperialis and shoulder icons.I was a hell of masking – but effect is just worth it! AX Xtreme Metal – easy to use – great effects! Best metallics imho.

For spikes, I took plastic rod from sprues and fixed it to electric hobby drill (Parkside brand from Lidl – love it!), then sanding blocks did the job well!…

More details!

I found in my WH40k bit-box nice resin ultramarine aquila that fit the leg beautifully! Some other plastic details added here and there – looks good! Next, trims went on for torso and leg parts. Ultramarine badass

Ultramarine shoulder pads

Space Marines iconic shoulder armor needed some more details and relief iconography. There are a lot of custom 3D printed upgrades for MCFarlane primaris figures – none was fitting my vision and plan… decided to go and build some from pla-plates and pla profiles – thank you GreenStuffWorld 🙂 I started with plain Ultramarines Icon,…
