Shoulders – Wip update
As you can see from the previous work in progress post I’ve decided to paint this model green, but to make a nice contrast I painted one shoulder orange with grey bits. Overall this project will be painted in shades of green with bits of gold, silver/chrome and greys. That’s why I decided to break the color palette with an orange shoulder. I do think it looks nice, not boring. Thanks to the leftover paint I was able to get that orange color. I have to admit there were no major problems so far with fitting issues even with painted parts, to make sure I masked joints and connecting slots. There was a lot of sanding the curves and edges but I wanted to make it close to perfect as it’s quite visible.
I’m more confident now to paint resin and I do know that I will be able to repair mistakes during painting (etc. bad masking). I’ve scribed more panel lines just in case as I was afraid that double layers of primer and paint will make them shallow.
