March 2026 marked the beginning of something we had been thinking about for a long time — turning our passion for scale modeling into something we could share with others.
The idea behind Mechaworks Academy was never simply to teach people how to assemble plastic models. From the very beginning, we had a broader vision: to introduce scale modeling to a new generation, make it more accessible, and help build a community of modelers here in Białystok, Poland.
We believe that scale modeling has something truly valuable to offer. It brings together creativity, technical knowledge, history, craftsmanship, and problem-solving. It encourages patience, concentration, precision, and independent thinking. Most importantly, it gives people the satisfaction of creating something with their own hands.
But we also knew that a vision alone wasn’t enough. We needed to put our ideas into practice.
The First Step — Our Pilot Groups
In March 2026, we launched our first pilot program under the Mechaworks Academy name, welcoming two small groups of boys aged 11–12.
This was our opportunity to explore how young people approach scale modeling, what sparks their curiosity, how they develop new skills, and how we could guide them through the process without taking away the joy of discovering things for themselves.
Our approach was simple: give them the tools, share our knowledge, encourage them to think independently, and let them progress at their own pace.
We wanted the Academy to be a place where making mistakes is part of learning, questions are always welcome, and the process matters just as much as the finished model.
More Than Building Models
For us, Mechaworks Academy is about much more than the models themselves.
It’s about creating an environment where curiosity meets practical skills, where young people learn to plan, experiment, solve problems, and make their own decisions.
It’s also about showing that scale modeling is a creative discipline with endless possibilities — whether someone’s interests lie in aviation, military history, automotive design, science fiction, or the world of Gunpla.
Our first groups were a small beginning, but they represented something much bigger: the first real step towards bringing our vision of a modern scale modeling community in Białystok to life.
And that is exactly what Mechaworks Academy was created for.
CREATE. THINK. BUILD.
