Psycho Zaku work in progress posts
Weathering and details – I love this part – its time consuming but its very satysfying as those small things brings ”reality„ And a bit of storytelling into miniature. Beside details – and bit of wear on giant rocket, I added some more photoetched parts to technical arms. Now my PsychoZaku looks way better –…
To get more of huge PsychoZaku’s bazooka – I decided to add few more details. Sensor device got new optics and few photoetched parts. I like the look now. Then to get a bit techy look cables were added – guitar strings fits perfectly for this task 🙂
Slowely but fairly – handpainted details to depict signs of use of mobile suit – at this stage its hard to call it weathering – I went for ”realistic-like” look – not extensively used, but used… Edge highlights applied, a bit of wear on thrusters and small directional verniers + other small details added. Decals went very well – based on manual, MicroSol and Bandai decals provides great combo for easy going application. I’m fan of details here and there – sometimes its hard to spot those on finished models – I like it this way – details should be discovered and provides some type of story to the…
Backpack parts were black primed (Vallejo Mecha of course… – I still love those). And base colors were applied – no issues – Mecha color palette. I found quite a problem with handling big Beam Bazooka – weapon is heavy and Zaku isn’t able to hold it properly in hand. I found a solution –…
