Now time has come for some detailing work.
Detail parts comes as plastic sprues that we used to in “ordinary” scale model kits. Below parts for one of the turrets gun well.

I need to say that even out of the kit parts gun well departments looks very good – I’m not putting decals atm – will add those later on with additional LEDs end more details.

Quadruple guns are made of die cast metal.
Barrel required a lot of attention to make it look ok – I drilled the holes to imitate barrels lasers outputs.
Definitely I prefer to work with plastic – there was no place for mechanical drilling, so slow manual drilling took place – my fingers hurts after this 🙂 but it was worth 🙂

Completed guns, bottom technical areas and first “greeblies” took the stage.

Then as stated in the issues 46 – I used like 69 thousands of screws to put bottom armor in place 🙂 Now the bottom saucer is super solid. I’m impressed how well its designed and how nicely it comes together.

Stay tuned.
