My Kshatriya LEDs are controlled by two Arduinos, during the project I added BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) module, to have ability to control lightning by phone.
That worked, I was able to turn on and off LEDs via console application on my iPhone.
Some time ago, I took a challenge to program another Arduino board with Bluetooth module to connect directly with Kshatriya (in fact with platform) Arduino and perform LED on/off switching at button press – quick programming and prototype was finished.

Then I started to plan remote control device… to put buttons and circuits in some sort of housing that will reflect Kshatriya design, etc.
Quick draft of initial idea:

Foamed PVC plates and after half an hour “a box” was built.

During the project I evaluated usage of OLED display for my Kshatriya, to display functions or some fancy informations like sequences steps etc. I decided to use it in the remote. Buttons were placed and front was reinforced.

It started to look like a remote control box. A friend of mine – Many THANKS Adrian, brought an idea of “key switch” – yeah – stolen with pride! Of course “RBF” tag is a must (this time from Alpha Industry jacket 😉 ).

Painting and weathering has started and Kshatriya themed decals were applied.

It was a bit tricky to put everything inside, but somehow it fit perfectly!

After many hours of programming remote control was ready!

Short movie – what is all about.
