In meantime I glued all grills in – alignment wasnt easy – unfortunately some of the grill ribs were misaligned – will straighten it up at final build.
Engine test of all vents with grills on:
Now the time has come (finally) for the paintjob!
I decided to use AK Xtreme Metal range to paint the ventilators. Parts were cleaned and degreased, then glossy black base was applied.
Black Base applied over resin ventilators and photoetched grills:

As a base color I picked Chrome, then inner circles were dimmed with BurntMetal and outer rim was painted with JetExhaust.
The hubs are StainlessSteel masked by quickly prepared cut-through paper. And in the middle I applied Gold.
On the grils I applied Burnt Metal over black base – I like it this way – not so “boring black only” 🙂
All paints from AK XtremeMetal range.

As next step I will add some wash to get it more real and wear appearance.
Of course, test run is a must!
May the Force be with you!
