I’m planning to put little Saz on an old platform – for a contrast between glossy mech and used/worn deck of landing pad.
I will use ActionBase1 and some dedicated photetched parts from MadWorks.
Base after Tamiya Surface Primer applied – its soo cool to look at primed parts – looking like 3D rendering…
After primer I used TamiyaLP Iron and Light Gunmetal for initial layer to apply weathering effects/layers.
I was looking for heavy weathered look – with a lot of chipping/smudges/decolorisation of the platform. After each layer I applied chipping medium from Vallejo.
Then scratching/chipping started, surface was moistured with water that enabled Chipping Medium. I worked with toothpicks and hard brushes to get ”chipping”.
Final results:
I’m really satisfied with the effects!
