As my previous experience with Salvinos JR model – this kit is basically same – it is not the representation of the car on the box… it is just general representation of Nascar Modifieds. After looking at the picrures of the real thing, I decided to cut some parts and replace kit plastic with my design. To be honest – there is waaaay more to improve, but I will not go there…
I cut off the part of the right side of the car – to represent angled viewport and replaced “Pole A” to get more realistic and slim appearance.

Then, the technique I used on previous Nascar project did the trick and improved the way how does the tires looks like.
Electric drill with bit mounted tires + sanding blocks from Vallejo 60/100 grit – did the magic.

Guess which tire is provided with the kit 🙂

Now the wheels looks like a real thing 🙂

OK, the time has come for a bit of airbrushing 🙂
One evening session and the number of parts is painted – for body parts I used Tamiya LP LP-1 Black (gloss).

Finally something fun and colorful! The Decals! I started with the body main colors. I will add small sponsor decals at next stage.
Besides of the not correct size of the decals and some alignment issues, I must say that decaling process went smooth. Of course extensive use of MicroSOL was a must – especially on the roof decal.

To be continued!
