Finally I added steering wheel and was able to glue the roof and added rear spoiler.
I used transparent windshield from the kit. Unfortunately driver side clear kit part was not accurate… I decided to recreate it from some transparent plastic that left after some figure packing.
Paper prototyping went fine and I got the shape desired.

After moving tamiya tape to the plastic material – I trimmed it to get it right and drilled mounting pin holes.

Pins are made out of metal wire – it added a bit of detail here and there.

There is still one important part that is missing – driver’s net!
As before with “real” Nascar I used Tamiya masking tape to recreate the net – based on kit part.

… is it done!?
FINALLY!
PROJECT Nascar Modified RaceCar COMPLETED!
It was challenging build. JR Salvinos kit is more like a guidance to build a model of “more/less” Nascar Modified a’like – for sure kit parts are not designed to depict exact machine from the box-art…
Anyhow – I know that my replica is a bit Sci-Fi and it is not representing the car no.88 of Woody Pitkat but at least I tried to go as close as possible 🙂
