In gunpla I just love mechanical details – eg pistons!
In RGM foot pistons are visible and designed as operational by Bandai. Unfortunately paint is quickly stripped down – my plan is to make this detail operational and real.
Simple tip for working pistons – all you need is silver tape used for chimneys tubes connection (thin chrome plated film).
First you need to drill a bit piston cover tube to accept extra layer of film on piston inner part.
Next step is to cut self adhesive film for desired measurement – in this case 1x1cm worked fine.
Then, carefully glue film onto piston tube.
…. And turn it around
Voila – youre done! Simple and easy effect – working pistons.
